When fitted inside a building can allow entry from each floor.
When fitted externally is usually a single length.
Can be deployed using a variety of methods to clear obstructions.
Cable length is determined by the height of the unit above the landing level.
When not in use a reel is supplied to store the loose cable.
In use the reel is dropped to the ground releasing the cable.
The first escapee secures the sling around the chest under the arms.
Descent can then proceed at approximately 1 metre per second.
As descent proceeds the other sling ascends for the next escapee.
